Will we really suffer a shortage of phosphorus fertilizer? Or to the contrary, will the coastal oceans develop dead zones because the phosphate exports from agricultural land will induce algal blooms at the surface of the coastal ocean and an oxygen deficit at the continental margins? It is fascinating to dig a bit deeper to the roots of such debates. I hope to find the time to do this and report the results of such excursions into information space.

A blue planet
We are not living on planet “earth”, we are living on planet “water”. Some prefer to call it the water planet. But as astronomers are busy hunting new planets with potenial life support systems, we cannot be shure to live on an exclusive piece of rock with a wet surface. Therfore, this blog will be about a blue planet. I plan to comment on stuff I read or see, share ideas and try to promote essential know how for safely operating the 30% of dry land and the 70% of ocean on the surface of this lucky piece of rock.
